I went out to Dad's workshop - I'd heard great things about his diligent work there. He pointed me towards a beautiful white piece with stained glass windows and began to tell me of his particular concern. And, in efforts to spread the good Word to the community of local birds, this, his first church plant, is almost ready... he's finishing the steeple now.
Family Play
Sometimes when I go home, I feel like I'm watching a play. Everything is so exciting and dramatic. I love to hear all of the stories and see mom tell them in such an animated and funny way. And the way dad rolls in with his cowboy hat and boot with his pant leg tucked in it. Court, and her latest prank on me. These photos are so that.
Yaaaah summer!!

Message From a Neighbor.
I have a friendly neighbor that lives next door, and yesterday when I went over to pay her son for keeping my yard, she told me that in Sunday school she was studying about sinners and Jesus Christ. And, how sinners loved Jesus and He loves them too. I proceeded to self-examine. And, this poem comes to mind now. The last four lines are an awesome mantra.
"Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening"
- Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Horton Hears A Who
I was just speaking recently with someone about the simplicity of messages found in children's books. And, this film based on Dr. Seuss' simple yet profound book, is by far the best I've seen this year. It is full of great things to ponder, as well as some Christian principles like faith, sacredness, persistence in doing what's right. It's a great movie. So, even if you don't have kids to take to it, it's a good one to take yourself.
